As the stranger goes by, I start to dance wildly

Because of the smile it brings to his face

He laughs as if everything is alright

I wonder how a man I do not know could be so nice

He is an older man, so I help him sit down

We talk and he teaches me about the world

His life is so interesting, much more interesting than mine

After hours have passed, he says he has to go

I watch him stride slowly down the street

He makes me remember that the best people start out as strangers

But only the true ones become your friends
